The distillery that formed the Scottish and Irish whisky industries as we know them today

Almost 200 years from its closure, the Kennetpans legacy still lives on

To this day both the largest Irish Whiskey brand (Jameson) and the largest European distillery (Cameronbridge) have their roots at Kennetpans, not to mention the Haig brand itself

I challenge anyone to name a distillery past or present that has impacted more on our whisky industry

Kennetpans is not a lost distillery
It is a lost legend

"It is difficult to over-estimate the importance of Kennetpans Distillery, founded in the 1720s byJohn Stein  - 'the Father of Commercial Whisky Distilling'. The site is of great importance to the industrial archeological heritage of Scotland. It would be nothing short of a tragedy if the site was left to vanish.”
